I have a small new project I am currently working on. Here are a few photos that were taken while filming.
I'm releasing our little film "There Was To Be Peace". Some of you know how much I meant to shoot the next installments prior to this release, but other projects keep coming up and my involvement in them are preventing me from doing so. That's why I'm releasing the film now. And you know what? It feels really good and I'm looking forward to presenting it to you on March 10th.

I had the sudden urge to exercise my colour grading skills, because I haven't been too happy with them recently. Instead of shooting new footage for this purpose, I went back and re-graded a shot, I had previously given a quick LUT and an adjustment only, because it was just a test shot for another scene. So I went ahead and gave it a proper grade - one I can live with now.

I've been editing a scene and color grading it. The scene will soon be released as part of three actors' showreels.
Here is a before-and-after color grading image.
A last cold day of filming in 2016 is now complete. Looking forward to directing new exciting projects in 2017.
I've been spending the holiday season assembling my URSA Mini 4.6K, testing it and pre-producing my last filming session of 2016. On Friday, December 30th we have a showreel scene planned for three actor friends of mine. Below the photos is one of the test shots I did to which I applied a quick color grade.
UPDATE: I took the time to practice my colour grading skills and decided to update the grading of this video with a proper grade. I recommend the updated version here.
I meant to shoot some autumn footage before it's gone, but I got a little sick. Let's open that window and fetch that long lens. :)
Afterwards I did some color grading on that footage.

I've been working on adding the finishing touches to my graduation film. I filmed an additional scene, re-edited everything and did the color correction and grading. The sound design and music soundtrack was created from scratch by Sebastian Graefe, a very talented sound designer. He also created foleys for the film and mastered the final audio track. On top of that we created a blu-ray menu in Adobe Encore.
In further news, I got photobombed by Ang Lee in Amsterdam while checking out Arri's Trinity gimble at IBC 2016.
I spent the day color grading my next film. Stay tuned. :-)
